Newey Goodman Park was named after a company that used to be on the Robin Hood Lane in Hall Green called Newey Goodman Ltd. After it closed down, and was demolished, houses were built around Newey Road, Goodman Close, Longfield Close, Bissell Close and Glover Close. The Council developed the open space into the park around 2013 and 2014.

The main entrance to this park is on the Stratford Road in Hall Green.

The park has a modern Play Area for children and a Basketball Court.

The park is on the no 6 bus route from National Express West Midlands which passes by on the Stratford Road. Closest bus stops at Robin Hood Island Northside. Also the bus stops labelled as Wycombe Road. From July 2020, the 6 now uses Electric buses, but they were using Platinum buses before that.
